“THE HOG” Series of SW Style Ductile Iron
Industrial Service Elevator Buckets

T.O.P.S. has listened to customers and developed a special ductile iron elevator bucket, which we like to call the SW style. This is a fine addition to already the largest line of industrial ductile iron buckets in North America. “THE HOG” series of ductile iron elevator buckets are all designed for true industrial duty applications. Our goal is to offer our customer the toughest and most efficient ductile iron bucket available. This allows facilities to run more efficient due to less downtime and less maintenance costs. Simply stated, our buckets will withstand the test!

Our “HOG” Series of SW Ductile Iron Style buckets are designed to be used in slow speed centrifugal discharge bucket elevators, running belt. This bucket offers a design which is an alternative to the standard A or AA style buckets. Typically, SW buckets elevate dense and packed materials, yet sometimes are used for fluffy and free flowing materials where slow speed discharge is required.

Typical Products Elevated :

Aggregates, Asphalt, Cement, Clay, Coal, Cullet, Fertilizer, Glass, Gravel, Gypsum, Lime, Salt, Sawdust, Sand, Steel Shot, Sugar, Wood Chips as well as many others……

Why Use “Net” Capacity for Engineering Purposes ?

T.O.P.S. Inc recommends using “Net” capacity on all industrial style elevator buckets for “real world” engineering. Industrial products have high angles of repose due to their sluggish and dense nature causing product to form a mound in the elevator bucket when loaded; which is also known as Net Capacity. This calculation allows for a more accurate, yet still conservative elevator bucket rating and has been in use for many years among engineers and bucket elevator manufacturers worldwide. Please don’t hesitate to contact T.O.P.S. Inc. for engineering recommendations.

About our current SW ductile iron bucket line and future plans:

Our SW style is one of a kind and used in unique bucket elevators and applications. If you have an elevator that requires a bucket not seen in mass production, or a new application, please contact T.O.P.S Inc. Our goal is to be a proactive bucket company that “listens” to its customers’ needs and wants.
